Macaron
Macaron is THE start-up that's solving the parking problem.
Backed by several years of R&D (#AI), its proprietary technology is revolutionising the parking experience, from navigation to find a parking space in built-up areas, right through to payment!
The Macaron application lets you :
Navigate to the destination of your choice within the application
Search for a parking space around you (within a 300m radius)
Be guided by GPS directly to a free parking space
Save your vehicle's parking address so you can find it again
Pay for parking directly from the application
For towns and cities, Macaron also offers a SaaS solution for retrieving and using parking data.
Our support
Since 2017, Blacksmith has been supporting Macaron on several technological building blocks of its solution and on several areas of expertise, including:
UX and UI Design for the website and mobile application
Print design (flyers, stickers, T-shirts, goodies, etc.)
Native Android development and web development, both front-end (Angular) and back-end (Nest.js)
More than simply providing technological support, Blacksmith wants to help Macaron in its ecological approach.
Indeed, it is estimated that the search for a free parking space could lead to up to 30% more traffic, inevitably resulting in a considerable increase in air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Macaron's development is therefore in line with sustainable and responsible development. This type of commitment is totally in line with Blacksmith's philosophy and our desire to turn more and more towards eco-design.
How does the mobile application works?
How does the Macaron mobile application help drivers find a free parking space?
As Samir Boutamdja, founder and CEO of Macaron, explains, the Macaron application uses Artificial Intelligence, but also Google Streetview and satellite images to retrieve data and map the cities where the application is deployed.
Macaron's algorithm integrates all the data retrieved by these different channels to successfully find free parking spaces on the road.
Our team also supported the startup in the design and development of dashboards for cities to better exploit parking-related data.
